We are recruiting for a Depot Manager for a large national client who manufacture and supply large equipment used within industrial and construction industries.

Job Title – Depot Manager
Location – Portlaoise, County Laoise
Salary – £60k basic (€70K) + 10% bonus + excellent benefits
Role
- Overseeing the daily operations of the site and grounds, managing logistics, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.
- Building relationships with internally with the customer service team, and externally with customers, suppliers and hauliers.
- Conducting regular inspections to maintain safety and compliance with regulations.
- Ensuring that the depot is kept clean and organised.
- Developing and implementing processes and procedures for continual improvement.
- Providing training and development for yard staff and maintaining records.
- Ensuring that all team members adhere to health & safety protocols and use PPE as required.
- Driving company vehicles safely and performing vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Hands on role - attaching trucks to trailers, move heavy equipment, and coordinating transportation for material delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a depot management role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, materials management, and safety protocols.
- Experience in freight management and transportation coordination.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and working outdoors.
- Proficient in computer use for inventory management and reporting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Very proactive approach and driving efficiency.
